Starbucks, Wellihgton

I'm at a Starbucks in Wellington, writing on my Nokia N800 Internet Tablet, using a Telecom NZ hotspot. Technology is so cool!

We camped last night at a campsite and had a terrible nights sleep. No more tenting.....

Today we had Matthew and An-na Carter over for a BBQ. We used our Hibachis. Great little things. More work than a gas BBQ but more satisfying and an authentic smoked taste...

Merry Christmas

This will be Rachel's fourth Christmas! Today Rachel & Maree went to St Luke's and met Santa of all people! Santa's lair (can I call it that?) is a bit spooky. It's kind of like the one from Narnia where the white witch concocted all her evil plans. I prefer the more traditional green and red Santa's lair. But don't worry, he wasn't a Bad Santa (I haven't seen the movie but I am aware of it), although he was a bit stingy with the sweets.

It's been 11 months since my last post but I will try to uodate this with photos and bits of news during the holiday season, so be sure to check back from time to time....

Ok, it's a bit late, but better late than never. We're really enjoying the holidays and the weather has been great.

Today we're going to Glenbrook for a few days of camping and maybe even a bit of fishing. Last week we went up to Parakai to visit Maree's parents and went for our first swim of the year in Lake Ototoa. Rachel loved it!

On the 26th my friend Rob, from Alberta Canada is coming for 8 days. It's going to be a great time!
